November is the month when the Friends of the Madison Public Library reach out to the community in the form of our Annual Appeal. Your generosity allows us to fulfill requests for programs and materials not covered by the regular Library budget.
As Madison residents, we are fortunate to have a library that offers new and exciting programs for children, teens and adults. During this past year, thanks to the generosity of our many supporters, the Friends were able to contribute over $50,000 to programming and to the collection. The Friends also matched a Rotary Grant for a portable TV monitor and accessories to be used for educational programs.
From proceeds of the Annual Appeal, Gala Benefit (March 23, 2019), Minicourses and Touch a Truck we are also able to designate funds for special projects. Other programs funded by the Friends include the Museum Pass Program, the Summer Reading Club, and the Summer Seminar Series co-sponsored with the Senior Center.
As always, we extend our gratitude for your continued support and generosity. Look for our Annual Appeal letter in your mail during November.
