November is the month when the Friends of the Madison Public Library reach out to the community in the form of our Annual Appeal. We are deeply grateful for your generosity which allows us to fulfill requests for programs and materials not covered by the regular Library budget.

During this past year, thanks to the generosity of our many supporters, the Friends were able to contribute $40,000 to the collection and programs for adults, teens and children. From proceeds of the Annual Appeal, spring Gala Benefit, Touch a Truck and the Drew Minicourses we were also able to designate funds for special projects, such as help toward the remodeling of the Children’s Picture Book Room and an update of the public WiFi system. Other programs funded by the Friends include the Museum Pass Program, the Summer Reading Club for children and teens and the Summer Seminar Series co-sponsored with the Senior Center.

As Madison residents, we are fortunate to have a library that is always changing and evolving, offering new and exciting programs for both children and adults. Money raised though the Annual Appeal and other events is a significant factor in the Friends’ ability to offer quality programming and support for the collection.

During this holiday season, we extend our gratitude for your support and generosity. You may donate by check placed in the return envelope enclosed with the Annual Appeal letter or click ANNUAL APPEAL to donate online. Information will also be available at the front desk of the Library.
