Frequently Asked Questions

Why are the minicourses being held at the Florham Park Library?

The Madison Library will be undergoing renovations starting in the fall of 2023 so we will not have access to the Chase Room.  The Florham Park Library has graciously allowed us to use their Akhoury Room while we are displaced.

Where is the Florham Park Library?

The Florham Park Library is located in the Florham Park Municipal Complex at 107 Ridgedale Ave. in Florham Park.  Click the address for Google Maps or click here for written directions to the library.

Will the minicourses be recorded?

Generally, no. Most professors do not give us permission to record their courses. These courses are their intellectual property.

What if I miss a class?

You may be able to review slides or material from the missed class

since some professors send us their slides or other course materials to post on our website.  Those can be viewed at any time, until 30 days after the completion of the course. However, as we do not record the minicourses, you will not be able to make up the live presentation.

If I can no longer take the class, can I get a refund?

If you inform us prior to the first class of the Minicourse, we will issue you a refund.

What happens if the Minicourse is canceled?

If we have to cancel a minicourse due to low enrollment, we will inform each student before the course begins. Students will have the option to choose another minicourse or receive a refund.

Will there be more Minicourses on Zoom?

All minicourses are currently being held in person; however, we will consider future minicourses on Zoom if there is sufficient student and professor interest.

How do I access the class on Zoom?

We will send out an email with the link to join the Zoom meeting at 3pm the day prior to the class. Be sure to check your junk mail and spam folder if you think you have not received it.

Will my spouse have to pay if we both want to attend one online class?

If you are in the same house and will be viewing the class together on one device, then you pay for only one registration.
