Touch-a-Truck

The Friends of the Madison Public Library in cooperation with the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Area YMCA organize the fundraiser Touch a Truck, featuring trucks to touch, climb, and photograph.

From diggers to dumpers, backhoes to rescue trucks, children and parents all enjoy the vehicles parked on the grounds of the Madison Public Library and the Madison Area YMCA. Each year over 1,000 people turn out. All proceeds go directly to the Madison Public Library.  As part of the fundraising effort, Madison area businesses have the opportunity to sponsor a truck.

The Madison Public Library provides many services for both adults and children. Throughout the year there are activities for kids of all ages from storytimes to art projects, music, chess, and computer familiarity. There are lecture series, book groups, movie nights, and other activities for adults. Money raised by Touch a Truck goes toward supporting these programs and library acquisitions of books and media that make the library such a vital resource.
