Maestro Robert Butts Honored At 2026 Annual Benefit

Nearly 120 people attended The Friends’ Annual Benefit on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Madison Library. The Benefit honored Madison resident Dr. Robert Butts, Founder and Conductor of the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey (BONJ) and Adjunct Professor at area colleges and universities. For 30 years, Dr. Butts has served as faculty for the popular “Minicourses” sponsored by The Friends. BONJ members performed during the Benefit. Proceeds will be used to support library programs and events and to expand streaming services and book and media collections.
